Police appeal after stolen credit card used in Caerphilly

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 08:00, Monday March 5th, 2012.

Gwent Police is appealing for information on the use of a stolen credit card in November 2011.

Officers would like to identify two men, pictured in these CCTV pictures, to speak to them in connection with credit card transactions in Caerphilly, Newport and Coventry.

On Wednesday November 23, a stolen credit card was used to withdraw money from a cash machine and to purchase gift vouchers at Asda, Caerphilly.

The same card was also used in the Newport area to purchase gift vouchers at Currys, Tesco, Argos and Marks and Spencer.

The purchased vouchers were then used in the relevant stores in Coventry later that day and the next day (November 24).

If you can identify either of the men in the CCTV pictures, or have any information relating to these incidents, please call 101 or 01633 888111 from outside the Gwent area.

Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
