The Aber Valley Heritage Group and the Graig Y Rhacca Communities First group have been awarded a total of £35,000 by the Welsh Government for a Tidy Towns Project.
After submitting bids, the Aber Valley Heritage Group was awarded partial funding of £13,342.40 to clean-up the Senghenydd Memorial Garden, which is affected by antisocial behaviour, littering and fly-tipping.
The Graig Y Rhacca Communities First was awarded partial funding of £22,180 to transform a fly-tipped and littered area into a community allotment.
Caerphilly AM Jeff Cuthbert said: “I welcome the funding and the improvements that the money it will bring to the area. It’s very important that residents feel their area is being invested in and that improvements come from within the community.”
