The cause of a huge fire at a factory in Crosskeys is being investigated.
Fire crews were called at 1pm on Saturday to a blaze at GLJ Recycling on the Newtown Industrial Estate, Crosskeys.
Around 700 tonnes of collected recyclable material was on fire.
Residents had been told to stay indoors and keep windows and doors shut during Saturday evening over health fears.
The warning to stay indoors, Gwent Police said, was a precaution for people living within 250m of the factory.
Roads surrounding the factory were also closed with smoke being seen as far away as the Severn Bridge.
No evacuations were needed and no one was injured.
