Celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli is to make an appearance at the Caerphilly Food Festival next month.

The Michelin award winning Frenchman, who has appeared on ITV’s Hell’s Kitchen, will be carrying out cookery demonstrations during the festival on May 4, 2013.

As well as the cookery demonstration programme, the event will include over 60 stalls, farmers market, animal displays, children’s activities and lots more.

Cllr Ken James, cabinet member for regeneration, planning and sustainable development, said: “This excellent event promises to offer a vast array of culinary delights and fun for all the family. Set in the heart of Caerphilly town centre, I would encourage as many people to come along and enjoy this event as possible.”

Last year’s inaugural Caerphilly Food Festival coincided with the town’s turn to host the Olympic Torch Relay.

Sounds like a fun day, not sure of the random 'celebrity chef', guess he was cheaper than someone well known.
