Caerphilly AM Jeff Cuthbert has congratulated a Bargoed school after it won two prestigious awards recently.

St Gwladys Primary School came in first place in Caerphilly County Borough for the Naace third Millennium Learning Award and in second place within the local authority for the NACE Challenge Award.

Jeff Cuthbert AM said: “I would like to warmly congratulate St Gwladys Primary School on receiving these awards. These awards are testimony to the hard work done by the staff and pupils at the school and a tribute to their determination to succeed.

“I was delighted to visit the school to meet the staff and pupils and see first-hand the fruits of their efforts. I wish the school every success in the future.”
