British Transport Police would like to speak to these two men

British Transport Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify two men they wish to speak to in relation to an incident on board a train between Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street rail stations.

Officers have today released CCTV images of the men who they believe will have information which can assist the investigation into the incident which took place on Saturday April 20, 2013.

PC Alun Derrick, investigating officer, said: “A 23-year-old man from Heath was the victim of an assault on board a train as it travelled between Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street stations at about 9.30pm on Saturday, April 20.

“He suffered a cut above his left eye and bruising to his face. His attackers left the train at Cardiff Queen Street but fled when confronted by security staff.

“Enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible and, today, I am releasing CCTV images of two men I’d like to identify and speak to as I believe they will have key information which can assist the inquiry.

“If you know their identity or whereabouts, please call BTP straight away.”

Anyone with information should contact British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40 or the independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.

In all calls, please quote incident reference B4/WWA of 17/05/2013.
