Police are looking for two men after an attempted robbery on Abertridwr cycle path.

The two would-be robbers approached a 26-year-old man walking on the path, which runs between Abertridwr and the Murco garage in Trecenydd, on Wednesday May 29 at 4pm.

Police said the victim, who was walking alone, suffered minor injuries. The two men ran off down the cycle path in the direction of Trecenydd.

Both men were white, in their 20s, of skinny build and were wearing dark clothing. One of the men had a distinctive nose which was either broken or swollen.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the suspects on the cycle path or in the area around the time of the incident.

Anyone with any information can contact Gwent Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 and quote log number 330 29/5/13
