Octopus in Caerphilly Castle moat

The octopus in Caerphilly Castle moat

An octopus the size of a car has taken over the moat at Caerphilly Castle.

Rhondda sculptor Barry Lewis is behind the monster lurking in the water and is part of his new exhibition ‘High Boltage’ at Y Galeri, in Caerphilly town’s St Fagan’s Street.

The artist’s work is constructed from salvaged household objects and scrap metal.

The rest of Barry’s work includes life-sized pieces such as an ostrich, a leopard and a shoal of fish.
