Awards to recognise the achievements of people in Wales have opened nominations.
The St David Awards, which have been established by the Welsh Government, aim to “better recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of people from all walks of life in Wales”.
The Welsh Government wants people from all over Wales to nominate people who do exceptional things and inspire others.
The First Minister Carwyn Jones said: “We may be a small country but our achievements are great. I want the great achievements made by the ordinary people from all over Wales to be celebrated, people who work tirelessly for others and make a real difference.”
You can nominate people in eight award categories: Bravery, Citizenship, Culture, Enterprise, Innovation and Technology, Sport, the International Award and a dedicated Award for Young People.
There is also a ninth award, the First Minister’s Special Award, which will be chosen personally by the First Minister.
People can nominate deserving individuals until the deadline of November 5 this year.
The awards ceremony will be held in Cardiff on March 13 next year.
