Attempted burglary in Risca

Gwent Police is appealing for information after an attempted burglary in Risca.

Two men, dressed in black, wearing balaclavas and gloves, were spotted outside a property in Aaran Close.

The attempted burglary happened at approximately 10.45am on Sunday October 27.

One of the men stayed outside, while the other went in and tried to steal a pet Shih Tzu Bichon cross breed.
The would-be burglars were disturbed and fled.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or has any information that could help officers is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 215 27/10/13.

Alternatively they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
