Caerphilly Business Forum has launched a new women’s networking group in partnership with Caerphilly’s Rural Development Programme.
The launch, which took place at Glenside Commercial last night, saw dozens of women across the region gather to network, share ideas and best practice on a range of topics and issues including work/life balance, business and personal development.
The group will meet every six to eight weeks and is open to women in business across the region.
Denise Lovering, Director at Glenside Commercial and Board Member of the Caerphilly Business Forum, said: “We have received a number of requests from our female members for more regular events tailored specifically to them.
“By launching the new Working Women Networking Group the Caerphilly Business Forum is able to provide local businesswomen with a regular platform where they can meet, share best practise and ideas and add value to their businesses in an informal, yet structured way.”
She added: “We welcome both members and non-members to attend the event and meet with other like-minded women located within the region and share their success stories.”
Cllr Ken James, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Sustainable Development, said: “This represents another exciting partnership between ‘Caerffili Cwm a Mynydd’ and Caerphilly Business Forum. The opportunity for people in different sectors to work together and share knowledge is an important focus of the RDP’s work in Caerphilly.
“It is important to recognise the often unique issues that women face in business and we envisage the Working Women network offering something different, by tackling these challenges collectively.”
