Caerphilly Halloween charity event raises £800

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 16:00, Wednesday December 18th, 2013.

A Halloween event held at Caerphilly Castle has raised £803 for the Noah’s Ark Appeal.

Friends Beci Newton and Vikki Alexander organised the event and roped in Morgan Jones councillors Phil Bevan and Mike Prew and the story telling services of AM Lindsay Whittle.

The idea was to try to recreate something of the old traditional Welsh Nos Galan Gaeaf.

The Noah’s Ark Appeal raises vital funds for the Children’s Hospital for Wales at University Hospital Wales in Cardiff.
Vikki said: “It was really hard work but it was great to see everybody enjoying themselves for such a good cause.”

well done Beci, Vikki and everyone who worked very hard to support this very worthy cause. This is the type of work that usually doesn't get enough attention in the media

Well done all the people who organised this charity event, well done in keeping politics out of it. A very good initiative from ordinary people to raise money for the `The Noah’s Ark Appeal` Good on you.
