Gymnasts from the Crumlin-based Valleys Gymnastics Academy were outstanding in their South Central grading on March 8.

Competing against a dozen clubs from across the region, the Valleys girls finished with a host of medals and ribbons.

Taking their grade 14, Grace Morgan, Mya Davies, Seren Hooper, Sophie Cullen and Emily Cullen all passed to a very high level and the girls were crowned South Central champions

Seren Hooper took overall gold in the ‘out of age’ event whilst Emily was champion in the ‘in age’ event.

The girls in the grade 13 event were also superb with Becky Thomas, Carys Phillips, Lauryn Carpenter, Kenzie Reynolds, Carys Carpenter, Mollie Lloyd and Naomi Burgess passing their grade to a very high level.

In the ‘out of age’ category Kenzie Reynolds was second overall and Carys Carpenter was champion on floor and bars.
