Nelson came from behind with a hat-trick from Ben Banks to claim all three points against Brithdir in the Taff, Ely and Rhymney Valley Premier Division.

The Bluebirds started the stronger team and went in front after five minutes following hesitation in the Nelson defence.

Brithdir then had a goal disallowed but Nelson stated to create their own chances and got back into the game with a thunderbolt from top scorer Ben Banks following a corner.

Nelson dominated the second half , defending well and looking dangerous going forward.

Banks grabbed his second goal after heading a Lewis Roberts long throw into the net.

Tom Woods made the points safe from a Roberts corner that was pulled back to the edge of the area. Woods controlled the ball and shot which sailed into the top of the net.

Banks grabbed his hat-trick and 22nd goal of the season before the end as he neatly made space by side stepping the defender before burying the ball in the bottom corner.
