Nelson Cavaliers lost the final of the Bernard Martin Cup for the second year in a row.
Nelson lost the final against Dynamo Aber 2-0 in a game that could have gone either way on May 3.
In a very even, goalless first half, Aber looked dangerous from set pieces and crosses, while Nelson played the better football and created several openings which they failed to convert.
Joel Davies came closest for the cavaliers as he forced a good save from the goalkeeper from a powerful header from a corner.
Nelson fell behind just before the hour from a corner that wasn’t cleared and the striker fired low into the net past three defenders on the line.
Nelson continued to create the clearer chances but failed to convert and fell further behind as Dynamo Aber completed the treble following their other cup and league success.
