Valleys Gymnastics Academy athletes triumph again

Four athletes from Crumlin-based Valleys Gymnastics Academy were crowned overall champions at South Central Novice and Intermediate Championships, held in Bridgend.

In the novice category Mollie Lloyd triumphed in the 8-9 age and Maddison Hamer was victorious in the 12-13s.

In the 10-11 age group Seren Thomas, Tegan McKean and Kenzie Reynolds were outstanding and were crownd team champions.

Tegan and Kenzie also picked up several apparatus awards, including gold for Tegan on beam. Based upon their performances, Mollie, Maddison and Tegan will now progress to represent the South Central region in the Welsh final.

In the intermediate category Cary Carpenter was champion in 8-9 age group while Jazmine Martin won the 12-13 age, both winning two golds and two silver’s on the apparatus.

In the 10-11 group both Seren Burgwin and Leah Marie Amphlett picked up 4 apparatus awards, including gold for Leah on bars.
