Christmas lights caught fire on a tree in Maesycwmmer last night, December 2, sparking a call to the fire brigade.
The electrical fire, on the decoration installed by Maesycwmmer Community Council on Commercial Street, was out by the time a crew from Caerphilly Fire Station arrived at around 10pm.
Firefighters ensured the area was safe before leaving and contractors are on the scene to determine the cause of the blaze.
