A 17-year-old brain tumour survivor met her favourite film stars after a charity arranged for her to go to the latest Hunger Games premiere.

Aspiring actress Kelsey Barratt, from Ystrad Mynach, met the film’s heroine Jennifer Lawrence and star Sam Claflin.

The ex-young Welsh tennis champion was just 12 when she was diagnosed and is still monitored after an operation did not completely clear the cancer.

The outing was arranged by the charity Round Table Children’s Wish, which gives youngsters with life-threatening illness special wishes.

Ms Barratt said: “Seeing all my favourite actors walking towards me was indescribable.”
