Llanbradach knocked Nelson Cavaliers out of the Bernard Martin Cup, at the semi-final stage, with a 2-1 victory on Saturday February 28.
Nelson started strongly but Llanbradach slowly, but surely, took control of the midfield.
Nelson held out until the half-hour mark when a sloppy pass out of the Cavs’ defence resulted in an excellent run and 18 yard strike from Dan Hansen that gave the Cav’s keeper no chance.
Llanbradach continued to be the better team and soon doubled their lead with a close range header.
Nelson pulled a goal back with a good free kick from Mike Bettison after Llanbradach had been reduced to ten men.
Despite there being 20 minutes left, Nelson failed to rally and ended the game a well-beaten team.
