An 11-year-old girl is looking to raise £2,500 to represent Great Britain in the Junior Olympics in California.
Charlotte Harris, from Ystrad Mynach plays inline hockey for the Caerphilly Comets and ice hockey for the Cardiff Devils.
She has been selected to play for Great Britain in the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics and Federation of International Roller Sports World Championships in Corona, California in July, but needs to raise the cash by the end of June.
Charlotte has only played the sport for just over a year but was selected to play for Wales Under-12s after just two months, and trains for Team GB in Rotherham.
Her mum, Melanie Harris, said: “Charlotte is absolutely ecstatic about playing for Team GB Under-10s.
“She is completely dedicated to the sport, travelling all over the country most weekends.
“Sadly, the sport is classed as a minority sport and we need to raise £2,500 to send her to LA.”
Charlotte is looking for businesses and individuals to sponsor her and the team’s jersey.
