Caerphilly-based insurance brokers Constructaquote.com has celebrated its 25th anniversary in business with a party at Caerphilly Castle.

Founder Lyndon Wood was just 19-years-old when he decided to set-up his own business from a bedroom.

The multi-millionaire is now a respected business guru with his own TV show called Diary of a Fortune Hunter. In 2012 he published a book by the same name and in the same year also invested £1.5 million in a social network aimed at business people.

Mr Wood was joined by staff from his Moorhouse Group, which now trades as Contructaquote.com, at Caerphilly Castle for the celebration on Friday August 21.

He said: “Almost 60% of insurance companies fail to hit their five-year milestone, so to be able to say that we’ve achieved 25 long years in one of the most fiercely competitive industries isn’t just a triumph for us – it’s a triumph for our industry.

“During that 25 years, we also reached the heights of being voted one of the UK’s Top 100 Broking companies – it hasn’t been easy, but it’s sure been exciting.

“We’ve pioneered and progressed a lot in 25 years, we’ve refined our business and continue to maintain our vision to be world-class.”

He added: “I am proud of our roots, proud of our people and proud of our journey. We’re excited about the future.

“We’re not just your run-of-the-mill insurance company, we offer more to our customers than the products themselves – my team always go the extra mile for our customers and always have our customers’ best interests at the heart of what we do.”
