Man shot himself outside Ystrad Mynach Police Station, inquest hears

An inquest into the death of a man who shot himself outside Ystrad Mynach Police Station has opened.

Retired manufacturer Ronald Warren, 75, drove into the station’s car park at around 5.20pm on Wednesday October 21, got out of his vehicle, got out a gun and shot himself.

Mr Warren was pronounced dead at the scene after paramedics were called.

The entire incident was caught on CCTV and police are not treating the death as suspicious.

The inquest, which was opened on Monday, October, 26, was adjourned for three months while police carry out further investigations.
