A date has yet to be set for a council by-election following the resignation of a councillor on Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Colin Durham was elected in 2012 to represent Labour in Ynysddu and recently represented the Lower Sirhowy Valley Residents Group in their fight against a planned recycling plant at Nine Mile Point, Cwmfelinfach.
However, Mr Durham resigned from his position as a councillor last month citing work commitments.
At the time, Council Leader Keith Reynolds said he respected his decision and acknowledged that being a councillor is a “demanding and challenging role” which is often difficult to juggle alongside other commitments.
A spokeswoman for Caerphilly County Borough Council confirmed that a date for an election had yet to be set.
