News | | Published: 15:00, Wednesday March 23rd, 2016.

Volunteers from the Inner Wheel Club of Machen have knitted, stuffed and stitched more than 100 teddies for charity.

The teddies will now be donated to the international charity School in a Bag, which provides essential schooling equipment, such as stationery, to impoverished children across the globe.

The teddies will go in the bags alongside the essentials.

The ladies of Inner Wheel Club of Machen meet once a month at a member’s house for a “knit and natter” session.

Inner Wheel Club of Machen hold their business meeting on the first Wednesday of every month at the Maenllwyd Inn in Rudry.

They meet at 7pm for dinner with plans made for social and charity events.

For more information contact club secretary Catrin Rowlands, on 07976803053.
