Caerphilly County Borough Council’s social services are appealing for carers to open their homes to young people who have previously been in care.
The council scheme is intended as a stepping stone for 16 to 21-year-olds to prepare them to live independently.
Jan Harris, who has been part of the scheme for the last ten months said: “I would encourage others to become Supported Lodgings Providers, as I feel there are so many young people that need help, support and guidance with ordinary day-to-day living skills.”
