A social enterprise helping ex-Armed Forces veterans into the world of business has launched in Wales.

Since it was founded in July 2013, X-Forces has supported more than 500 new businesses and has overseen £5 million in seed funding through the UK Government’s Start Up Loans Company.

Ren Kapur, Chief Executive of X-Forces, which held its Welsh launch in Ystrad Mynach recently, said: “Every day we help more of the capable and hard-working members of our Armed Forces community to realise their dreams. From long-serving, decorated veterans to spouses that have made considerable sacrifices, male and female, they share an equally strong approach to business, with a focus and drive that is seldom seen in business.

“These businesses are already contributing to the UK economy, providing employment and making opportunities.

“We know that there is great potential in Wales for more entrepreneurs to emerge, and we are here to support them.”
