The family of a man who died in a crash on the A467 yesterday have paid tribute to him as a “loving son, father, brother and grandson.”
Alex Chamberlain, 26, was driving a Vauxhall van when it was involved in the three-vehicle crash on the A467, Rogerstone, at around 9.05am on Monday May 16.
His family paid tribute to his memory, saying: “Alex was a happy go lucky man, respected, trustworthy and loyal. He enjoyed life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face, never a dull moment.
“He was always there for others and is going to be remembered forever, never forgotten. Forever in our hearts, we all love you.”
A Scania 40 tonne goods vehicle and a Scania tipper lorry were also involved in the crash.
Mr Chamberlain, from the Argoed area, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales, but died shortly afterwards.
His family are being supported by specifically trained officers.
Gwent Police officers investigating the circumstances of this incident are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or anyone passing the location at the time, to contact them on 101 quoting log number 89 – 16/5/16.
