Supermarket Tesco is set to introduce defibrillators at its stores in Caerphilly, Risca and Ystrad Mynach.
The introduction of the lifesaving equipment is part of a national programme at 907 of its largest stores.
Sara Askew, from the charity British Heart Foundation, said: “If you have a cardiac arrest in the UK today you have just a one in ten chance of survival.
“More people could be saved if more people had the skills and confidence to perform CPR and more defibrillators were available and accessible in public places.”

They asked the public to donate money so they could buy defibrillators for their store in order to help “save the lives” of other customers. True story.
A step in the right direction. The next step is to ensure sufficient people know how to use the machine. Whilst it is pretty self-explanatory to use, it is still decent to have a quick familiarisation lesson.
