Around £3,500 worth of cigarettes have been stolen from a van as it made a delivery to a shop in Ystrad Mynach.
The theft happened at 12.50pm on Wednesday, June 8, in Commercial Street.
Gwent Police is appealing for information and said the thief made off in a silver estate car – possibly a Ford Focus.
The vehicle is reported to have turned right out of Lisburn Road and drove along Commercial Street.
