Man hospitalised after attack in Pontllanfraith

Police are appealing for information after a 31-year-old man suffered head and facial injuries after he was attacked in Pontllanfraith.

The man was walking along Clos Trefin at around 5.50pm on Monday, June 13, when he was approached and attacked by two men. A third attacker later joined them.

Gwent Police said the victim of the attack suffered head and facial injuries and was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport, but has since been released.

Three men aged 41, 25 and 23 have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
