Three arrested after man ‘stabbed with bottle’ in Elliots Town, New Tredegar

Police are appealing after a 27-year-old man was stabbed in the torso, with a bottle believed to have been used.

The attacked happened yesterday at around 9.13pm in the Queen’s Road area of Elliots Town. Three people have been arrested.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “A 27-year-old man was assaulted by two men and one woman and sustained a puncture wound to his torso with what we believe was a bottle.

“He is currently in the Prince Charles Hospital in a stable condition.

“A 22-year-old man from the Penyrheol area, a 20-year-old man from the Tirphil area and a 22-year-old woman from Phillipstown have been arrested on suspicion of assault.”
