The victim of a fatal crash on the A467 between Bassaleg and Rogerstone has been named by Gwent Police.
Robert Dean, 65, from Cwmcarn was driving a Vauxhall Astra convertible when it crashed with a Isuzu pick-up on Friday, July 15 at around 4.30pm.
Mr Dean was pronounced dead at the scene. Gwent Police originally reported Mr Dean’s age as 64.
Officers are currently investigating the crash and have made an appeal for people with information to contact them by calling 101 and quoting log 354 of 15/07/16.
