Driver treated for head injury after crash in Tir-y-Berth

A driver was treated for a head injury and taken to hospital after a car crash in Tir-y-Berth.

At around 10.25pm on Monday, August 1, emergency services were called to New Road after a report of a vehicle leaving the road.

A spokeswoman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: “We sent a paramedic in a rapid response car and a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene, and one person was taken to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil.”

Gwent Police said the driver was treated for a head injury, while South Wales Fire and Rescue crews from Aberbargoed also attended.
