A cyclist is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision with a car in Pengam, Gwent Police has said.
Officers were called at around 5.20am on Friday, August 19, to reports of a collision on Commercial Road, Pengam.
The cyclist, a local man, was taken to University Hospital Wales in Cardiff with life-threatening injuries.
A 40-year-old man from the Pengam area was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was interviewed and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
