Bargoed man bailed over £10,000 burglary

News | | Published: 09:58, Monday August 22nd, 2016.

A 37-year-old man from Bargoed arrested on suspicion of burglary has been released on police bail until October, pending further enquiries.

An estimated £10,000 worth of property was stolen from a property in Heolddu Crescent, Bargoed, when it was burgled some time between 10am on Tuesday, July 26 and 9.50pm on Monday, August 8.

A large number of electrical items was stolen including two Samsung televisions, a Samsung Blu-ray player, a Phillips Blu-ray player, a Toshiba video and DVD combo unit, an LG Sound Bar, an Apple TV Box, two Amazon Fire Sticks, two HP laptops, an Apple iPad Mini, an iPhone 5, along with jewellery of high sentimental value and a number of tools.

Cash was also stolen from the property.

Due to the amount and the value of items stolen, police believe the address may have been visited several times, and a vehicle used to remove the items.

Officers are still keen to hear from anyone with any information relating to this incident, by calling Gwent Police on 101, quoting log 669 08/08/16.
