Trethomas beat Welsh League Division Two side Aberdare Town by a solitary goal in the 2nd qualifying round of the Welsh Cup on Friday, September 9.
After three successive defeats, Bluebirds manager Gareth Kedward changed formation and personnel, and a tight first half saw goalkeeper Gareth Williams tested, but not beaten.
The deadlock was eventually broken with ten minutes left, as striker Leon Young controlled a long ball with his chest, and fired into the net to earn his side a draw against Llanelli Town in the first round proper on Friday September 30.
