Mobile network O2 begins work to bring 4G to Bedwas

News | | Published: 13:00, Friday October 14th, 2016.

Mobile network operator O2 has begun work to bring the fastest connection speed, 4G, to its customers in Bedwas.

Starting on Monday, October 10, the provider will also improve its 2G and 3G networks in the area.

Subject to testing, O2 hopes customers will see the improved service “in the following weeks”.

O2 currently offers 4G in over 7,000 towns and cities across the UK, and is spending £600 million to bring high speed mobile internet to customers in rural areas.

Derek McManus, Chief Operating Officer, Telefónica UK said: “O2 customers in Bedwas will soon be able to experience faster mobile internet on their devices such as streaming high definition TV, shopping on the go, and video calling.

“4G will make everything easier for them.”

For more information about 4G on O2 visit www.o2.co.uk/4G.
