Fight “erupts” between drivers and group of youths at Pontlottyn train station

Officers from British Transport Police are appealing for information after a fight broke out between two drivers and a group of youths at Pontlottyn train station.

Police are searching for witnesses of the fight, which happened at around 6.40pm on Monday December 5.

A driver of a car had a dispute with another driver of a van, which quickly escalated into violence. A group of youths, who were waiting outside the station, were also involved.

Both vehicles were damaged, and the driver of the car sustained cuts and swelling to his face.

Investigating officer PC Leighton Rivers, said: “This was a violent confrontation which ended with a man sustaining injuries and two cars requiring expensive repairs.

“We are working hard to establish exactly what transpired and I need the help of the public. Were you at the station, did you see what happened? Please get in touch, your information could be vitally important.”
