Police appeal after man sustains “serious facial injuries” outside New Tredegar pub

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside a pub in New Tredegar.

On Wednesday December 22, a 44-year-old man was assaulted outside the Tredegar Arms pub in New Tredegar. The incident was reported to police at around 6.50pm.

The man sustained serious facial injuries and is receiving treatment in hospital.

Three men from Phillipstown and a man from Rhymmney were arrested on suspicion on assault, wounding with intent, and violent disorder.

They have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log 376 21/12/16.
