The Welsh Rugby Union has formalised the fixtures for the second half of the Principality Premiership, after the division split into two tiers.

Fixtures have been announced for both eight-team tiers, beginning on Saturday February 4, with the final round taking place on Saturday May 6.

As there are only seven league matches remaining, each club will play an uneven number of home and away matches, and all points accrued before the split have been reset.

In the top tier, Bedwas face reigning champions Ebbw Vale in the first of four away matches.

They welcome Merthyr, Llandovery and Pontypridd to the Bridgefield, and head coach Steve Law said, “We’re chuffed to have finished where we did having performed so well in the first part of the season.

“As at the start of the season, it will be important to have a good start in this new section of the league, and it will be tough for us to go away twice but if we can get a win out of those first two games I’ll be pleased.”

In Tier Two, Cross Keys host Bargoed on Saturday March 18.
Head coach Greg Woods said: “We’ve got some good fixtures to look forward to and we must learn some lessons from the start of the season and get off to a good start rather than play catch up.

“We’re disappointed not to be in the top eight but we’re pleased with our recent performances.”
