Oakdale-based Bon Bon Buddies has been selected by Disney to distribute a new range of confectionery across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The company has developed the Fruitickles range, which comprises five products made with 100 per cent fruit in mixed strawberry, blackcurrant and orange flavours.

Under the new Disney agreement, it will begin distribution across the EMEA region from May 2017. The range will feature characters from well-known Disney brands including Disney Princess, Frozen, Cars 3, Spiderman and Star Wars.

Bon Bon Buddies is one of only two European manufacturers to be awarded the exclusive three-year partnership.

Managing Director Justin Thomas said: “We have a longstanding relationship with Disney and have worked with them for the past 14 years.

“We’re about to embark on a fantastic journey with an exciting product range that is really going to excite the confectionery market, and we are thrilled to be working alongside Disney again with Fruitickles.

Martin Driver, Director of Food at Disney, said: “The team at Bon Bon Buddies has developed a product range that we are so proud to be a part of and we are confident that this partnership will only go from strength-to-strength.

Bon Bon Buddies recently reported record-breaking results for the 2015/16 financial year with a turnover of £44.4 million.
