Caerphilly manufacturer presented with Queen’s Award

HONOURED: Staff at Direct Healthcare Services with The Lord Lieutenant of Gwent

Healthcare manufacturer, Direct Healthcare Services (DHS), has been presented with a Queen’s Enterprise Award for Innovation – the highest official UK honour for British businesses.

The award for the company, based at Caerphilly’s Western Industrial Estate, was first announced last year.

HM The Queen’s representative, The Lord Lieutenant of Gwent Brigadier Robert Aitke, presented the company with its award on Tuesday, February 14.

The accolade was in recognition of DHS’ innovative hybrid Dyna-Form mattress, which is designed to save the NHS vital time and resources by reducing the incidence of pressure ulcers in hospital patients.
