Caerphilly Leisure Centre staff raise £2,000 for Mayor’s charity

Staff at Caerphilly Leisure Centre have donated over £2,000 to a cancer charity.

Employees Chris Eatwell, Andrew Morgan, Cai Barnaby, and their customers took part in a 12-hour spinathon to raise funds for the Mayor’s chosen charity, Velindre Cancer Care.

Cllr Dianne Price, Mayor of Caerphilly County Borough, said: “Thank you to the staff and customers at Caerphilly Leisure Centre for taking part in a 12-hour spinathon to raise money for such a well deserving charity.

“I am delighted to receive the sum of £2,009 on behalf of Velindre Cancer Care, which will be very gratefully received”.
