INTO THE UNKNOWN: Filming on the sci-fi film, Offworld, has begun

Filming has begun on a sci-fi epic set to be shot entirely in the South Wales Valleys.

Offworld – a survival film set on an alien planet – is the brainchild of Terry Cooper, 46, from Ystrad Mynach, and fellow producer Adam Neal, 30, from Aberdare.

The pair planned to raise £2,500 through their Kickstarter campaign, which began on Thursday September 1 last year, but the campaign gained unprecedented traction, gaining interest from worldwide donors and has raising more than £10,000.

Now, their project is coming to life, with outdoors-set filming beginning on Monday April 10.

Once complete, the film will premiere at the Maxime Cinema in Blackwood.
