Another day another appeal for witness. The reason these crimes are being committed is because we have no police pressence on our streets anymore. People can blame cut backs on police but this has been a steady decline over the last 10 years. We are also being told that Gwent Police have recruited 120 Constables but where are they? The police want other services to work with them but if the police are not on our streets how can they work together.

I fear the huge decline in the number of officers cannot be turned around easily.
The Police lost the battle on the streets a long time ago.
My mate is a police officer and tells me a lot of good officers have left the job because of the way the job has changed.
This trend is likely to continue.
We need a visible presence in all our communities of fully trained
Police Constables with the full powers and abilities to deal with whatever situations they come across.
Until that happens our communities will neither feel “Protected or Reasssured.

    One minute
Gwent police can’t be bothered to investigate anything always asking for help to resolve the crime most of the police sit around doing nothing even they try to say it’s because of cut backs unless the case is easy to solve don’t want to know mostly now it’s done by cso’s Friday Saturday nights most police are talking to girls in town.
Even when you give them the information about something they don’t want to know
