Unfortuneately, Richard, Caerffili not an exiting count to cover this time, from a journalistic point of view. the polls have just closed and my prediction…, wait for it..
Wayne David wins – a Labour hold.!

We can still get plenty of reaction locally to what’s happening nationally.

I suppose so, you have to take what’s offered. It would not quicken my heartbeat though.

I’d like to know how many millions of pounds Welsh Labour threw at their campaign of hatred and lies, every other day yet more despicable Labour propaganda was pushed through my letter box.

Welsh Labour are no better than their left wing leader in London.
They too are capable of false promises and schemes where one wonders where the funding will come from ( take the proposed circuit of wales in Ebbw Vale – another proposed scheme where public money will be wasted ) – Welsh Labour and Labour UK would both borrow and plunge us back into the debt that the country is trying to reduce.

Im really surprised that people believed their whole propaganda. How was they going to pay for all their promises. The last i heard it would have cost them £300 billion pounds. That money tree must be really good.

      – but luckily Comrade Corbyn and the left wing support still failed to gain power !
But sadly we are back to the bad old days where politics is again a two horse race.

Good for labour even though they would have wone as Caerphilly is a labour strong hold.
Sorry dear old lindsay Whittle PC but you where out only for just for your own personal gains.
You like most political candidates never help the needs of the poor.
Possible go back to become a housing manager.
    You never get my vote.

I feel this post is targeting Whittle, The labour party lies have distroyed this country. And how do you know they work for council, do you work for the council to know they work as housing manager. I am against various parties but the person is just a figure head, there is no need to attack the individual.

Correct Edward, Lindsay did work as a housing manager but that was nothing to do with the council it was in a company. He also worked in private industry before this and I am grateful to him for giving me my first job, some 40 years ago, in Dialoy foundry where he was personnel officer.

I have always liked Lindsay, we disagree about some political stuff, to the degree where he tries to avoid eye contact or conversation with me. I don’t care, I like the man for his basic goodness and what he has done for Caerffili. political differences aside I know that if either of us were in physical danger we would fight as one together – so far as our aged decreptitude allowed!

Look I don’t think so how can a man who is leader of CCC and let a department head make redundant one manager to save on public spending but then give a 50k pay raise to one person and say it’s because he’s doing two jobs 175k a year please he allowed this to happen he backed this to happen that’s was the start if massive and behind closed doors Ccc secret pay he has turned hi back on a number of people who needed his help that I know about.
Let me just say I’m just a normal tax paying person.

I am all for paying my taxes, if it helps the vulnerable, the problem is our system is about giving people a hand up not a continues supply of free money. Our benefit System is stretched to breaking point. Here in the valleys we have 3rd and forth generations of families who are un willing to work because benefits are the easy option. This is creating an illiterate and uneducated society who only want benefits because its the easy option for them dont get me wrong some a lucky to enough to get employment. But others want money for nothing and its time we stopped this, they should be made to work for their benefits. Us as a society cannot continue to bail these people out. JFK said it best ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

Well stated – those who are disabled or genuinely unable to work due to illness should have nothing to fear – it is the bone idle, workshy element of society who need to realise that they need to work and put something into society and into the system before they can take something out.
After all you would not walk into a High Street bank and expect them to give you money unless you had an account into which you had deposited money !
The benefit system should work the same way !

Labour would have borrowed and put us in even greater debt than we are already in – on the radio yesterday one of the former chancellors had costed what Labour would need to spend to achieve their promises it was £300 billion pounds – thats where you probably got that figure from Edward.
We all do household budgets and try not to spend money that we haven’t got – the principle is exactly the same for Government.

Left wing Labour is not the answer to our problems thats for sure.
I retired years ago and remember the 3 day working week and wildcat strikes – we certainly dont want to return to that sort of thing.

The media is making a big fuss over nothing – the Conservatives were just 8 seats away from a majority ( not a big gap ) let Theresa May get on with the job !!!
