A creative studio specialising in computer-generated imagery has won a second major award for its 3D imagery.

Bomper Studio, based at the Welsh Innovation Centre for Enterprise on Caerphilly Business Park, was named as the ‘People’s Choice’ for best use of 3D at the Creativepool 2017 Awards.

For its entry, Bomper put forward artwork created for an advertising campaign by builders’ merchants Bradfords.

The imagery, which depicted a sandwich full of money, topped a poll of thousands of fellow professionals and members of the public in the Creativepool network.

As a reward for its efforts, Bomper Studio has been profiled in a ‘portfolio’ of the best CGI producers in the country.

The golden-covered annual is a showcase to other leading creative agencies and will lead to greater worldwide exposure for the Caerphilly-based company.

The latest award comes after it won the same category at last year’s awards.

Emlyn Davies, founder of Bomper Studio and its Executive Creative Director, said: “Hugely proud of the team winning the coveted Creativepool People’s Choice Award for 3D for the second consecutive year.

“To be in the 2017 Creativepool annual, which is seen by global design and ad agencies, gives the studio exposure around the world. I’d like to thank everyone that voted for us, we’re extremely grateful.”

Great to see another local innovative business leading? the way and winning awards.
We might be a relatively small nation but we punch well above our weight.
