The Prince of Wales is due to visit Llancaiach Fawr on Tuesday, July 11.

His Royal Highness will visit the 16th Century manor house, near Nelson, and will meet with staff and volunteers to find out more about the council-owned visitor attraction.

The Grade I listed building celebrated its 25th anniversary last year as a ‘living museum’.

A key element of the visitor experience at the Manor are the staff, who take on the roles of 17th Century servants.

The Manor also hosts regular re-enactments of a 1645 visit made by King Charles I.

At the height of the English Civil War , the King is said to have visited the house to persuade its owner, Colonel Edward Prichard, not to change his allegiance.

Llanfabon school took some of the class but not all segregating children. Disgusting act of favouritism. My daughter had to watch other children go on trip as obviously head teacher doesnt think shes photogenic enough. Llanfabon school never fails to treat children different at ever level.
