Families, volunteers and staff from a Caerphilly-based sensory charity, took part in a mass walk at Caerphilly Castle on Tuesday June 27.

Over 50 people took part in a walk around the castle, led by staff, volunteers and service users from TouchBase Wales, a local disability day service, to help raise awareness of people with disabilities in the community.

TouchBase Wales, which is run by national deafblind charity Sense Cymru, provides a range of services to people with sight and hearing impairments, and multiple disabilities.

Sense Operations Manager, Elizabeth Thomas, said: “We’re really happy that so many people came out to support the walk around Caerphilly Castle.

“It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together and feel part of something great.”
