Tribute band The Bootleg Beatles will bring a stunning recreation of one of the greatest songbooks of all time to Caerphilly Castle on Friday, June 15, 2018.
Following the Fab Four on Saturday, June 16, at the historic landmark will be Brighton band The Levellers, who are celebrating the 30th anniversary since their formation.
Both concerts are being promoted by Orchard Entertainment, which last year brought Ocean Colour Scene and Spandau Ballet singer Tony Hadley to Caerphilly Castle.
Formed from the original cast of London’s West End hit show ‘Beatlemania’, The Bootleg Beatles have become an institution in their own right with their note-perfect recreation of hits from every era of the world’s most famous band.
Also on the bill are The Bowie Collective, performing the greatest hits of the late David Bowie.
The Levellers were formed in 1988 through an unforeseen, but blossoming friendship between Mark Chadwick and Jeremy Cunningham at The Eagle Pub. Since their formation Mark, Jeremy, John, Simon and Charlie have crafted seven Top 40 albums including platinum selling Levelling the Land, #1 album Zeitgeist and a number of Top 40 singles including This Garden, Hope St, Just the One, What a Beautiful Day and their signature song One Way.
Tickets for The Levellers are already on sale, while those for The Bootleg Beatles go on sale on Friday, December 15 at 9am. Both are available to buy from Ticketmaster.co.uk
Nice to see the castle being used for music and entertainment but ( and I apologise for the negative slant) but Caerphilly does not have the parking facilities to cope with these type of venues or the police to police this. I want these type of concerts in my town if everything is brought up to standard. Also can you imagine the chaos at the pwll y pant roundabout which will still be unfinished.
Yes it’s about time too – as you say we need more of this type of entertainment in our local area.
